Fulcrum's Membership API is able to accomplish this
Easy enough to just create list variables of the member ID's to create the groups while waiting for a similar function from the web interface, although would be simpler if the API 'add' parameter accepted member emails rather than having to make a GET request for all the member ID's

Going to bump this again - we have several field regions, and trying to select the correct members to give access to apps/projects/layers for only my region is tedious and inevitably someone gets missed until I get a phone call 'Can you add me to this...' - currently trying to work this out with custom roles, but like someone else mentioned, it gets complicated with some members needing higher permissions (i.e. not being able to assign multiple roles)

Under Review for 2 1/2 years? Some people in our team fit into more than one "Role", so not always an option to just have one level of permissions.

To take this idea one step further, you could allow the entire team/group of users to be assigned to a given record. This would allow teams to access and QA their team's data.

Agree with some of the comments that this has been “done” by having a Role. That is, a “Role” can be created for each “Team”.

Member 'Groups' for Projects/Layers
B
Blake Caldwell
As our field collection and GIS teams grow, it is becoming tedious to try and remember each individual person that needs to be added to each project and layer. I would like to suggest a way to create member 'groups' that can be maintained separately, and would allow a single toggle in the layer/project window.
FIELD TEAM (Group)
-member1
-member2
-etc
