New! Background Tracking:
GPS track recording now continues even when you navigate away from the map, switch to another record, or put your device in your pocket. Your active track is automatically held in Draft to protect your data — and a persistent notification keeps you informed that recording is running in the background. Whether you're collecting data across long stretches of terrain or juggling multiple parts of a form in the field, your track keeps going so you can focus on your work. Learn more.

- Resolved an error that would appear when syncing about retrieving apps from the server

Web Release Notes (May 14 - May 20, 2026)
Enhancements & Fixes:
- New! Lasso Tool:The data viewer map now supports freehand selection. Quickly isolate multiple records to apply bulk updates or export your data. Learn more here.
- Users can now upload more than one photo, video, audio file, attachment, or sketch at a time to a record on web. When viewing or editing a record, each media item will also display its date and file size.
- Fixed an issue where the Data Viewer did not update correctly when switching to a saved filter.
- Fixed an issue where ArcGIS WMS layers, especially those with private tokens, did not display correctly.
- Fixed an issue in the app builder where sketch field uploads incorrectly displayed a generic attachment icon instead of a thumbnail preview.
- Fixed an issue where map layers did not render in the Media Map Viewer when viewing attached photos or videos.
- Improved sync stability when records contained a large number of linked records.

New! Lasso Tool - Select Records on the Map
You can now draw a freehand selection directly on the map to choose exactly the records you want to work with. Once selected, bulk edit the assignee, project, or status across your entire selection, download the data, generate reports, or delete the records — all in a few clicks.
The Lasso Tool gives you precise, freehand control over your selection.

Web Release Notes (May 7 - May 13, 2026)
Enhancements & Fixes:
- Fixed an issue where deleting an already removed form via the API could incorrectly return a 500 error instead of a 404.
- Resolved an issue preventing WMS layers from correctly using 'token' parameters in request headers for authentication.
- Addressed an app crash that occurred when linking specific records using a Record Link field.
- Fixed a bug where apps created via the API were not viewable in the data viewer until manually saved in the app builder.
- Resolved a discrepancy in web visibility rules where fields dependent on a hidden field's value would not trigger correctly.
- Fixed issues with the map layers search bar, which was cut off and returned inaccurate results.

INFERENCE Data Event Library Update- We'll be updating the underlying library powering the INFERENCE data event in a future release.
