GPS effort tracklines

Would appreciate being able to capture a GPS track line of movements during a set time period, like on a survey or during a patrol while data is being captured. Being able to capture and then download the track file (as .kml or .gpx or .shp) would be really useful to researchers and resource management agencies for tracking effort during surveys and patrols to better understand total coverage, and not just where data was collected.

For my work area, it would be interesting if Fulcrum allowed the collection of walking data throughout the day, as a background data collection task.
As an application, it already allows the collection of tracking data related to accredited videos, making it possible to develop this additional function.
GPS data collection applications, such as Alpine and GPXViewer, perform this type of function.
In my work case, I currently need to have Fulcrum and GPXViewer, or Alpine, running at the same time. This ends up increasing battery consumption and data work.

I'm going to leave this request open because it asks for the ability to create track lines while working on other records in Fulcrum. This is on our near-term roadmap. Currently, you'll have to stay in the record's geometry editor while creating the GPS Track lines.
