Thank you everyone for your feedback, this has entered our development backlog!
We have split this request into two distinct features, App-level attachments and Record-level attachments. You can expect App-level attachments early 2021!
Record-level attachments will be a new field in the App Builder as requested. I will be sure to update everyone as we get closer to a release date for Record-level attachments early next year.

@Dale Wilson: Will this allow us to add JPEG files to choice lists so that you can select from pictures rather than text?
Cory MacVie
@Annika Spiridis: This is not going to be part of this feature, but we are looking to include this in the future as a "Rich Description" feature.

Any update on when this feature will be available
Steve Wealands
How is this feature coming along? We have a number of clients keen on this so they can attached GPX tracks to Fulcrum records. We just need ability to have an 'Attachment' element on the form that ultimately exposes back the Bytes and a MimeType via the API.
Josiah Johnson
@Cory MacVie Anything new?
Cory MacVie
@Josiah Johnson: This feature is still being spec'd out and discussed internally.
Josiah Johnson
@Cory MacVie: Has it been spec'd? Have company waiting on solution for full implementation.
Paul Coupe
@Cory MacVie: same here! Any updates?
